Our Bumblebee

Sydney was, you guessed it, a Bumblebee for Halloween this year.

About halfway through trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, she started to say to people, "Don't worry, I won't sting!"

Boy, this seems like a long time ago at this point....

Sydney Meets Gavin

Sydney met her new baby brother for the very first time today. She's been talking about him so much over the last month, and lately has been telling him that we were all ready for him to "come out now." She did great today, and was really attentive to him for about 3 minutes, just like most big sisters.

Sydney meets Gavin

Sydney waved to him, since he was sleeping.

It will be interesting to see what she thinks of him when he comes home tomorrow....

Gavin Ellis Rogers Is Here!

Our new little boy finally arrived late on Wednesday night, November 14th.

Gavin Ellis Rogers was born at 11:49pm, weighed 7 lbs 10 oz, and was 21 inches long. Shannon and Gavin are both doing well, and will be coming home on Saturday morning.

Special Yellow Hat

One weekend, Sydney pulled out her new, handmade Yellow hat that our Aunt Pat made for her this fall. She wore it around the house all morning while we had breakfast and read books. She'll get plenty of use out of this hat all winter. Naturally, she calls it her "Special Yellow Hat."

Pumpkin Patch

About a month ago, we went to a small farm nearby to pick up some pumpkins, take a hay ride, and even get lost in the corn maze. Loads of fun - here is a picture of Sydney with this season's measuring stick.

Still Waiting....

Well, we're still waiting at this point for the new little guy to show up. It's been an interesting week to say the least - amazingly, Shannon is continuing to feel relatively good and has been sleeping well. We'll see what this coming week has in store for us.

In the meantime, I'm going to post some recent pictures of our little Sydney. It seems impossible that she is nearly two and a half years old at this point.

More updates to come.
